Smudgy Antics Weekly Challenge "Touch Me"

Howdy Howdy Howdy... I want to get this post up. I am totally pushin the gun here as I have I think about 2 hours left to submit my piece for the challenge.
This weeks Challenge is "Touch Me"
Lay on the stuff. All about texture embossing powders, embossing folders, gesso spackling compound, whatever you can.

One of my favorites. Really some awesome submission's this week.
Ok on to mine.
I did another journal spread. I finally got myself a watercolor paper journal and made up a bunch of ink sprays with reinkers I have had laying around for a while. The first pic is with the flash on the camera 2nd is without. Which one do you guys think is the best? I always have a hard time with that.I've been doing alot of art journaling these last couple of weeks.

 One of my favorite techniques to do right now.
 I love doing it.
Here's some pics of what I did last night. I have tons of compound spackling black gesso, white gesso, spray inks. The heart digi with wings is from smeared ink. I used a few different crafter's workshop stencils on this spread. I ordered a couple of dylusion's stencils,inks and stamps and cant wait to get them to play with. Her ink looks like alot of fun. Black gesso ended up being alittle run y for some reason. kinda ran out around the stencil. Or then again it could have just been me of course.. I'm sorry I cant remember where I got the lady digi. So hopefullly it's not a copyrighted image. I'm always afraid of that. If it is and you see it please forgive me and let me know if you want me to credit you totally for such an awesome image. I should rather be safe than sorry later and just not use images I cant remember where it came from. I've been keeping pretty good track of the digi's I acquire now. I keep them all in their own folder so this never happens again.

 Ok I also want to show you this awesome piece of art. I rented an apartment to this yound kid and his girlfriend. He is a graffiti artist. He brought this over to me last night. Isnt this awesome. I love work like this. I'm gonna ask him to do my name in this way. I've always loved looking at train cars going by with this stuff on it. fascinating to me. I think he's awesome. In the big blue letters he did a crackly effect. 2nd pic show's a closer shot if it. Cant wait to see more of his work.

Spring Card for Simon Says Stamp Challenge "Anything Goes" and 2 other great challenge blog's

Hello all. I am posting this to link up a Spring card that I made. I would like to enter this into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge "Anything Goes" and That craft Place challenge and Party Time Tuesday's challenge all challenge's are "Anything Goes" I want to make sure that I am following all the rules of the challenge's. I am always worried about the different rules that different sites have.
I just recently started entering challenge's and I think its a blast.
Seeing all the project's that people make and learning new techniques. I just love stalking around all the blog's. It's great fun for me.
Lately I havent been able to make alot of cards and had to put my foot down and make sunday my day to craft as long as I want. I'm off that day so why not, right?
This is a bright yellow card. It's that pyramage style card.

My crafty walk-in closet

Hello everyone. Well I'm posting this
 link on behalf of all the crafter's over @ Smeared and Smudged.
Someone had started a discussion on how to organize stuff in your craft space and lots of others posted pics of their rooms.
I'm not much of a girly girl so I really have no need for a walk-in closet.
So I turned it into my crafty space. It actually is a pretty good size. It suits me fine.
It is crammed plum full I tell ya that for sure. I love looking at pics of peoples craft spaces. I just love to see where people create all their awesome pieces. Will you show me your room? Mess and all this is it. Have fun looking. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my dump. hahhah

Hubby built this for my workspace and shelves for wood stamps n other goodies.

                                                      Another thingy hubby built for paints inks and all the good mags. I have a hard time throwing magazines away...

                                            This is how I store my unmounted stamps.

                                          3rd drawer down from woodmounted stamps. clearstamps on right and stampin up and H2o's and foam stamps stored here.

                                         I just love these lil kinds of diddy box storage things. full of who knows what.

                                                Totally a contraption I put together that consists of milk crate on top right a 3 tired shelf thing I got out of the trash and its sitting on an end table. Yes I dig in the trash sometime's. I live in the historical district and you wouldnt believe some of the stuff these people throw away. I love it. One man's trash is another woman's gold mine. hahhaha. all my paper and magazines and  unmounted stamps here and jewelry making supplies on the bottom.

Its so cool looking. great find. and of course ya have to have a wood saw hanging on the wall. never know when you will need it.

                                                        This is another closet hanging cheap plastic thing I use for punches and the pic under is another one I think its actually for jewelry and stuff but my ribbons and stuff fit perfectly in it. plus some other stuff too..

                                                            View of the extra storage space inside the walk in closet. Yes it's always like that.fabric and stuff on top. sewing tools in bins on wheels under sewing machine. When it comes time for sewing I roll that whole thing into the living room on my old antique sewing desk thing. Yep got it out of the trash. Its awesome. It's one of those kind that you used to lift the sewing machine up through the middle and another flap comes out to make it wider.

              

                                           and this lovely pair. she totally reached over to grab his hand (Paw) when I started snapping pics. It was awesome. they are an oinry pair.

                                            Ooops forgot I uploaded this one. This is the whole view of the table thing hubby made me. When I'm crafting I stand on the far right hand side of this and go at whatever I'm doing. He really out did himself on this table storage thing. He's awesome and very handy. I give him an idea of what I want or I show him a pic and he comes up with just these awesome pieces. He's awesome...

Well I know I took alot of pics but I felt like I had to just to get it all in cause its such a small kinda weird room. But I totally love it.

I have used many various mediums on this piece of wood left over from an outside summer project.
Frida is one of my all time favorite painter's. The bigger image on the piece is one of my favorite's of her's as it portrays alot about her inner being and frame of mind as alot of her life she was in pain and had to be in a laying down position. I couldnt image what that would feel like.
Hope you guys Like this piece. I have uploaded a couple picture's for you to see.

I would also like to share with you a pair of earring's that I made yesterday as well. I took a lil ceramic miniature doll that had been laying around here for a while and took her arms off wrapped them with red wire and put an earring hook on them and wore them all day today. Everyone that saw them loved them. I used brown paint on the arm's before I wrapped them in wire. put it all over and then wiped it off leaving it just in the crack's.

Harley Davidson Tag using Kenny K Digi & Smeared Ink Rubber Stamp

Hello again.. woooo hoooo 2 post's in the same day.
I might just post another one too.
I have been doing alot of crafting lately and wanted to use some of them for various challenge's.
Instead of cramming everything onto one post I prefer doing each challenge on it's own post.
Easier for me to keep track of and I usually talk so much that I would probably lose everyone's interest.
I want to enter this tag into 3 different challenge's.
I have never entered a challenge at Simon Says Stamps. There are always so many entries there I've always felt I wouldnt have a chance in the world of winning there. Well I have since then changed my mind. I have just as good a chance as anyone else. There are ton's of entries this week too. Last I looked they were in the 1000's. Wow Weeee that's alot of crafting going on. I love it.

My entry into "Smudgy Antic's" weekly challenge..."Anything Goes"

Hello everyone looking.
Totally been forever since I have posted anything. Actually been a while since I have done alot of crafting.
I think I am getting my mojo back. I have quite a few projects that I am going to be posting today that I made end of last week and over the weekend.

Anyway back to the point at hand. You can scroll through all this mumbo jumbo if you like. Pic is at the end. Should the project picture be first? What do you think?
Over at "Smeared and Smudged" they are having this "Mixed Media University" thing where you can learn new crafting techniques through pictures and or video tutorial's from Terra the master of the group I do believe. Class 3 was this awesome technique using toilet paper to make toilet paper form embellishments and such. I used a clock face stamp to make my form . You can go check out the video tutorial here

I got myself a watercolor journal book FINALLY.
I used my toilet paper form on the very first page of my new art journal along with ton's of other stamps from Smeared Ink..
Stamps of their's I used are
" Deflated Heart from their Inner Working's digi set.---"Blessed Be" sentiment digi---"Cracked Heart" from their Heart Wing's set---"Lonely Boy" from the rubber stamp set---also used the leggy spider from the lonely boy stamp set---Spider web from lonely boy rubber stamp set---And all the words from "The Elemental's" rubber stamp set Fire,Water,Earth,Air and Goddess.
Other stuff used was some homemade perfect pearls spray's, distress ink's and some MoonShadow spray from Lindy's stamp gang color Bucket O Blood, paw print sticker's  a couple rubon flowers andteh word Art that I cut off of a packaging,  some stencils from Crafter's workshop that I bought from this great lil store called "Collage stuff" She has great stuff great prices and the fastest shipping service I've ever seen. Guess that is about it. Hope I didnt bore you too much. I'm trying to cut the description down. I used to put down stuff I used and how I used them so it is alittle shorter.

Smeared and Smudged "Bloody Valentine Hop" Day 3 of 3

Well today is the final day of the blog hop.
Kinda hate to see it end. Gives me a little discipline ya know?  That knowing there are other's out there depending on you to get this one thing done on time. Feels good sometime's.
 Ok on with it.
I made a card today. Well planned on a card and a tag but just got stuck on the tag bit. It started out one way and went another and just doesnt fit the blog hop. I'm gonna show ya'll anyway.

I used the dripping bloody hearts image from delicious doodles again. The background paper is from Susan's Crafty Chaos. Who I must say has ton's of awesome paper's.
I sprayed it with this Lindy's stamp gang moonmist spray stuff. I'm sure that's not the name. I actually forgot. ooops sorry. It is the Blood colored spray that they have and I must say if you get it to dribble out the end of nozzle it looks just like blood on paper. Also that walnut stain is what I've been using alot for real looking blood on paper. It works killer too.
Next pic is of the card with the tag I started for the hop. Lots of spraying on the background again with homemade ink sprays I made a while back and some grungeboard. I threw the heart with wings from smeared ink in the pic cause what would day 3 be without some smeared ink..

"Smeared and Smudged" "Bloody Valentine Blog Hop Day 2 of 3

Howdy everyone.
Well again today the rope is definitely stiff as the board itself. ahhahh
We finally got some snow around here.
Well this is day 2 of the awesome blog hop going on and I have a couple of things to show you today.
Firstly I just had to make a card using Ikes troll today.
A fellow smeared and smudged crafter had a troll steal one of her project's.
You know who you are. So I thought I'd use a troll I have had for a while and havent used yet.
Ike has some awesome crafty stuff on her site along with digi's. Her link is over there on the right hand side of the page.-------->

Digi's used were Ike's troll and the long thing is a digi from "Make it crafty.com and the sentiment is from graphicat.com.
The poor lilttle wingless cherub is from a sticker sheet I thought I would never use. Perfect for this blog hop though.
I used more red embossing powder for some blood.
The background is made up of ink's and stencils from crafters workshop.
2nd is an atc I put together with some left overs from above card.

 I cant draw anything. I have to use a ruler to draw a straight line and sometime's that isnt even right. So I used another digi from delicious doodles "the bleeding hearts" and cut the dripping blood from them and stuck them on the bottom of sentiment above. Then used one of the hearts on the bottom atc along with the skull digi from delicious doodles.

Smeared and Smudged "Bloody Valentine Blog Hop" Day 1 of 3

Hello all.
Today is the first day of the Valentine Blog Hop. I can't wait to go hopping around and check out all the Bloody goodness.
My craftybrain as taken a vacation on me but I do have a couple thing's for you to gander upon.
Firstly I made this tag last night for this hop.

What didn't I do to this tag? I made the paper homemade out of newspaper back in the summer and  cut out a tag last night. Put some white gesso lightly over it and then some rock candy.
Then the poor hearts went through it too. They are a digi from http://www.smearedink.com/ of course.
I first colored them then put glossy stuff on um then some rock candy and lastly for more crackle used that crackle accent stuff. I just couldnt put enough breaks in those hearts. ahaah I tried to make some blood with some embossing powder but I dont think it ever turned out what I wanted. oh yea some glitter on the heart wings.
Then I have been dying to show you guy's my weather vane checker thing I made over the weekend.
I hope you guys get a kick out of this. I'm actually gonna hang this on the outside of my place.
Just to let you know one thing before you see and read the pic. It's definitely stiff today...
You'll see what I mean in a sec..

I painted a board I found outside left over from porch we built over summer and used white paint (Duh) wrote the words out and colored a rubber stamp image from smeared ink and thats about it.

Smeared and Smudged January Member Blog Hop

Well hello hello hello.
First can I just say"??? Wow do I love modern technology....NOT!!!
I have been trying since about 9am eastern time to get this posted.
Nothing with blogger for once but my internet this time. Gotta love WiFi....
I will get a better internet. I especially have to have a more reliable one as I am going to need to be connected more often for crafting reasons.
Ok on to my card's today. I did 4 different project's for this hop. I kept changing my mind about which one I wanted to post so decided this morning to post them all..
Why not,? Right?
I have made 2 Cards and 2 Atc's using the chosen theme from smeared and smudged which was "MESH"
I looked all over my house for some real metal mesh and could only find this really little stuff I have to make a necklace that was supposed to have been finished month's ago.
I used mostly smeared ink digi stamp's and rubber stamp's on my project's.
The 2 atc's were made using my new images from "Octopede Factory" You can find their digi's on etsy.
They do have a blog but not sure of the address and dont want to post the wrong one but you all know how to find a blog. she (lily) has some cool little quirky image's. I used herEdgar Allan Poe digi and also Frida Kahlo.  Most of us know who Poe was and some may know who frida was. She was an awesome artist. She was bed ridden for most of her adult life and alot of her painting's were of her and kinda on the weird side. Just the kind of stuff I get into. Look her up sometime and check out her painting's.  Lily even got the unibrow perfect for her image.
I also used a rose rubber stamp from bombshell stamp's. '
I used a mesh stamp from smeared ink and also borrowed some drywall mesh tape stuff from the hubby's stash of goodie's.
Digi's and rubber  used Frida and Edgar Poe digi  from Octopede Factory.
Old time hearse- graveyard scene- bride and groom skull's --Blessed Be text-- mesh stamp from smeared ink.
Rose's and lil skulls on frida atc are from Bombshell rubber collection. The lil skulls on flourish are stamped on shrink paper and shrunk. LoL (of course)

I typed out this post about 5 times before I realized I could copy and paste it and send it to myself in an email and then copy and paste it here. Wow what a day it has been.

2nd Card Entry into the Weekly Challenge over at "Smudgy Antic"

Well I want to enter this card into the challenge that has run for 2 week's @ Smudgy Antic's.
This is the 2nd card I have entered into this challenge.
I used a rubber stamp from the set "Chick's dig Gun's"
Yes we do, right? I know I dont mind the extra security around the house.
These day's you have to have alittle something extra around the house to feel content and safe.
That's a totaly shame too but maybe someday probably not in my lifetime there will be world peace.
I think there has been lot's of us pray for that for many year's. Someday maybe. We Hope.....
But anyway back to the card. I used the only christmas paper I had this year again on this card which is My mind's eye. (I think) no that's it. Lost and Found. I used a die cut I acquired somewhere in my crafty trip's on the front that's where I stuck my chick.
She's waiting on Santa cause he didnt bring everything she wanted.
Which as everyone alreay know's is a total lie for me cause I got everything I asked for. Even though one of them I first asked for 3 year's ago I'm loving it. I finally got a cricut. 3rd time was a charm.
On the inside of the card I used a stamp that I just got christmas day from my Secret Santa over at "Smeared and Smudged". It is so me. I love it.
So if the bullet misses ol santa the laced cookie's will get him.
Sorry everyone but Santa will be fine by next year and coming around to give out gift's again.

Day 12 of "12 Day's of Christmas" Smeared and Smudged Style

Hello again. Well today is the last day of this blog hop.
Now what am I going to do every other day?
I have been entering some more challenge's so maybe I'll just keep on doing that.
Give's me something to do with my card's and tag's and stuff before giving them away or throwing them in the box which usually happen's.
I just want to take this minute and thank everyone over at smeared and smudged for allowing me to join in on this blog hop. Dont forget if ya'll need me again just holler.

Today I am sharing 3 thing's with you that I made just today.
A christmas card for the hubby- an atc-- and a altered snow sled.
No not a full size one just one to hang on the tree or mantle or whatever.
For the sled and the atc I used the new digi from smeared ink that I won during the weekly challenge over at smudgy antic's. Their addy is http://www.smudgyantics.com/ if you would like to go over and join in on a fun challenge. They hold them weekly with a different theme and different prize's too.
The rubber stamp I used for hubby's card is one from Sweet Pea stamps that I bought a while back.
It is a christmas stamp. They have a bunch of sexy chick stamp's over there.
I tried to use my glossy accent's on the candle's of the skull's to make it look more life like dripping candle wax. It kinda look's real but of course the camera does not show that.
Well my camera wouldn't anyway.
That's one thing I would love to have new.
Or at least a scanner printer. I just use a 28 buck printer only and love it but sometime's wish for a scanner.

Entry into the Dilly Bean's Designer's Friday Challenge's "Santa Baby"

Hello. Well this is the first time I have entered the Dilly Bean challenge.
I purchased some digi's a while back and have colored a few but never used them to enter a challenge.
I seen where a special artist I know entered and thought that I would join in and enter this week too.
I have to use this digi before christmas as it is mainly a Christmas looking image.
But I am sure I will switch hat's around throughout the year and use it other time's.
I decided to make a tag tonight for this challenge.
I used 2 digi's from dilly bean. The santa image and also the christmas tree's behind the main image are also from them.
I used a couple present's from Smeared Ink's digital stamps. You can check them out @  http://www.smearedink.com/. They have lot's of digi's that would go great with Dilly Bean digi's.
I used Fired Brick distress ink on the tag.
The poinsettia flower on top is from an assortment of paper goodie's I got in a recent Atc swap with a bonus pack of scrapbooking from your stash.
The greenery I made with my martha stewart paper punch.
The christmas ticket was a freebie from a site called Miss Cutie Pie's. she has a few awesome freebie image's on and off on her site.
I guess that is it.
I'm really starting to get into entering challenge's. Give's me something to do after I make a card beside's throw it in a box with the rest of the cards and tag's and stuff I make.
Well they still end up there but at least I get to share them first.
Some get handed out to friends but they are probably tired of getting them all the time.

Day 11 of "12 Day's of Christmas" Smeared and Smudged Style"

Well helllooo again... Next to the last day of the 12 Day's.
What in the world am I going to do now?
Work on alloting my time better for the next time I am invited on one of these journey's.
For today I took some wooden block's and added some image's on them and of course some paper as well. I cant remember where the scrap's of paper are from they came out of my scrap bin of this and that left over from many other project's.
I used 4 different companie's digi's and rubber stamp's this time.
The Angel Guy is from Smeared Ink and also used "The Watchful Eye"
My Christmas "Grumpie" I finally got my hand's on the set and got to use him. Grumpie's rule.
I used a sexy santa chick from Kenny K.
I used a Christmas Rubber Stamp from "Sweet Pea" stamps from the artist Bill Plank.. The one of the tree with the lil elve's climbing in and out of it. 
The 2 Voodoo christmas character's are from http://www.wonderstrange.com/
They have a few freebie digi's they give out every once in a while and that's how I acquired them.
You should go check them out if you want. I'm sure they are a group that you would get into.
I had to print and color a few little watchful eye's and threw them around in front of block's just to stage the pic alittle more. I will use them on something later on.

Day 10 of 12 Days of Christmas" Smeared and Smudged style"

Hello everyone. First and foremost I would like to apologize for posting this late.
I had to work late unexpectedly today.
Yea I know I should alway's be prepared for thing's like that to happen.
I'm getting better at getting thing's ready for all of my new online buddie's.

I would just like to take a minute and wish ALL of you a very Merry Christmas and hope that your New Year bring's you everything that you hope and dream it will.

Now on to today's project. I made a card again. I have had to make more card's than I had initially planned on making. I assumed right off the bat that I would have plenty of time to make mostly some kind of altered item but it didnt work out in my favor on that.
I am off the rest of the evening and I think I will use today to get a couple of those I had planned on making finished and started.
I had to get this santa stamp and use him before christmas was over.
I think he is so cool looking. Look's like he has been rode hard and put up wet a time or two too many.
I love how the artist threw in the wrinkle's. Was a perfect touch.
I used glossy accent's on his blade. I colored all the digi's with copic marker's.
Used "Renee" from the "Gothic Fairy" set from smeared ink along with santa. I also used the hand's wreath from the "Gothic Christmas" set also from smeared ink. Used the raven from the set "Quoth the Raven" for Renee's pet bird. and threw on the "Watchful eye" digi just because I like him and haven't used him for a few project's.
I decorated the envelope with matching paper and ribbon. Oh yea the patterned paper is "Once upon a time" from DCWV and the green is from their texured cardstock pad (neutral's)
wooooo weeee that's alot of stuff that went on this card.
Does everyone like knowing what people use on the card's?
I personally like it myself cause it gives me idea's and some heads up on crafting supplie's as I have to buy most of mine online and it;s just not the same as walking up and down the isle with close up shot's of stuff. So seeing what other' crafter's use help's me to do a search for the right stuff.
